Air Shower Installation: 4 On-site Prerequisites

Table of Contents

The air shower is a critical device for maintaining cleanroom cleanliness, and its installation is a vital yet often methodical challenge. However, thorough on-site preparation is the foundation for a smooth installation process. Centering on the core topic of “air shower installation,” Baihong will outline the essential on-site preparations required before the work begins.

On-Site Prerequisites for Air Shower Installation

To ensure installation efficiency and the equipment’s subsequent stable operation, please verify that the site meets the following four core requirements before commencing work.

1. Basic Site Conditions for Air Shower Installation

(1) The site floor shall provide a level, solid surface, free of bumps or depressions, with levelness tolerance ≤5mm. Hardening treatments such as concrete screed or epoxy flooring must be completed to prevent tilting or vibration of the equipment after installation.

(2) The installation area shall be clean and free of construction debris, tools, or other obstructions. The separation between clean and non-clean areas must be clearly defined to prevent cross-contamination.

2. Space and Layout Conditions

(1) Sufficient space shall be reserved at the installation location. For a recessed wall opening, its dimensions must exceed the equipment’s own (L x W x H) by 1-2 cm on all sides.

(2) Sufficient overhead clearance shall be reserved for maintenance and wiring access. A passageway of no less than 1.2 meters must be maintained in front of the equipment (at the entrance/exit) to ensure normal personnel passage.

3. Water and Power Connection Requirements

A power supply matching the equipment’s specifications shall be pre-installed and equipped with a dedicated leakage protection device. The power interface shall be pre-positioned near the installation point, at a distance of no more than 1.5 meters.

4. Coordination Conditions for Auxiliary Facilities

Where the unit interfaces with cleanroom flooring (e.g., epoxy, PVC), the floor installation shall be completed beforehand. The height difference between the air shower sill and the finished floor must not exceed 3mm to prevent tripping during entry and exit.
