A cleanroom entrance for an electronics product assembly workshop needs to consider more than equipment size. When a large number of employees enter and leave the production area, a standard single-person or two-person air shower may not provide enough space for efficient personnel flow.

Customized Multi-Person Air Shower Design
The key requirement of this project was the high number of employees using the cleanroom entrance.
Instead of using several conventional small air showers, the project adopted multi-person air showers with a customized depth of 4000 mm.
Each unit measures 1390 mm in width, 4000 mm in depth, and 2070 mm in height. The larger internal space provides room for multiple employees to enter the air shower area at the same time.
The four units were arranged side by side according to the site layout. This configuration allows the air shower system to cover a larger personnel entrance area while maintaining a consistent equipment appearance.
For cleanroom projects, the final equipment dimensions should be considered together with the building layout, entrance location, personnel volume, and available installation space. Standard dimensions may not always be the most suitable option.

SUS304 Interior and Powder-Coated Exterior
All four air showers use a SUS304 stainless steel interior with a powder-coated exterior.
The stainless steel interior provides a smooth surface that is suitable for routine cleaning and maintenance in a cleanroom entrance area. The powder-coated exterior provides a practical finish for the outside of the equipment and helps maintain a consistent appearance with the surrounding facility.
Using the same dimensions and material configuration across all four units also helps create a uniform appearance after side-by-side installation.
Protecting Stainless Steel Surfaces During Installation
There is also a small production detail that is easy to overlook.
Stainless steel panels can be scratched during fabrication, transportation, handling, or installation. This is particularly noticeable when several units are installed next to each other.
For this project, the stainless steel panels were kept covered with protective film throughout the production and installation stages.
The protective film helps reduce the risk of scratches and surface marks during transportation and on-site assembly. It is normally removed after the installation work has been completed.
For a four-unit side-by-side system, this simple step helps maintain a consistent stainless steel appearance across the entire air shower entrance.
